I was told by the Verizon Sales Rep, that RIM devices do not dynamically update time zones so as to not mess with your calendar apointments. That by manually changing your time zone you are then aware that this happened and that your appointments are now in the correct time zone.
Seems like a "PAT" answer, at least you should be able to display the "network" time of the time zone your visiting.
