8320 Noob has missing calendar icon!

I'm a T-Mobile subscriber - not that this is necessarily

part of the problem. :smileywink: But I have NO calendar icon. Have

only been using my Curve for a few months, and have been using

"Google Calendar" for my needs, but there are times when I am

in an area with poor service when it would be nice to be able

to check the calendar on my phone....if I *had* a calendar on

my phone....

As I believe it is part of the OS or something, I can't understand

why it isn't there.

BTW...can't imagine why or how using Google Calendar could be the

problem, as my husband successfully uses it on HIS Curve (same model,

different color) and his calendar icon is intact!!

And I have desktop manager installed on my PC, if that might help my case.

Clues???

The icon could be hidden, press your menu button and press show all. Does it show now? Have you ever had it?

Re: 8320 Noob has missing calendar icon!

I only *wish* it were that simple! It's definitely "not" a "hidden icon"

thing - I checked that first and "show all" definitely has a check mark

next to it.

To be honest, I don't know if I have ever had the

calendar app on this phone, because I never realized I *didn't*

have it till last weekend - so it's not as if it disappeared suddenly.

Wierd, huh?

By the way, I have also done the "reboot" thing where you take the

battery out while it's on....

That is weird, it is part of the OS you can't uninstall it. You could always reload your OS. I don't normally recommend that to fix a program not showing, but since the calendar is not a 3rd party program it should be a default part of the OS. If you decide to reload the OS and have questions let me know.

That is *exactly* what I thought...and at this point, the Google Calendar is working

well enough for me that I would rather not subject myself to the risk that

re-installing the OS would entail. Ack.

But if I do...thanks for the backup...
