9330 battery drain

Have a Curve that is less than 6 months old. Was first on the Social Networking plan ( cheapest Verizon Data Plan ) Just the other day the wife bought her a BB and put the family on the Family Shared Data plan, Phone used to warn me when I would go to any app that would use Data, now it runs just like a regular smart phone. But now my Battery is only lasting 1 day, compared to 3-4 before. I do have WiFi & Bluetooth OFF, Not really using any Apps at all, not even using Facebook. Blackberry App World did notify me of several Apps that have updates. Just wondering if there is a way to find out what App is running in background. Would the Battery Pull App be something I need. Thanks for any help. All this Smartphone stuff is all new to me.

Re: 9330 battery drain

Hi davsallee

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums

Please press and hold the Menu for a few seconds, it will pop up a screen which will show all running programs in the background ,generally five will always there ( Home, BBM, Message,Phone , Browser ) look if any other apps. are running.

Always try to Close Applications Correctly - Avoid using the End key to close applications as this simply minimizes the application and leaves it running in the background. Instead, press the Menu key, select the Close or Exit option to exit the application.Don't leave your Browser open when not in use.If programs run in the background it will also lead to overheating and also quick battery drainage. Please have a look at those Article I am sure it will help you a lot in overcoming your problems :

And yes our device leaks memory in a long run and a Battery pull is considered as the first step in resolving and fixing most issue within our device. So if you ever feel any problem you try a battery pull restart.
