If I set the alrm to work on weekdays or just on it will work once after battery been taken out and replaced. It doesn't work again until I repeat actions with the battery.

hey robrimbb, is just not sounding the audible tone after the first time, or what?

Have you tried setting a different alarm tone?

Do you mean the first time you tap DISMISS and the next day the alarm just won't even flash or make a sound?

Does your clock freeze? 

Do you have more than one alarm application?

And is this in the standard alarm app it does not function?

It works as an alarm the first time, whether it is on weekdays or just on. I then dismiss it and get up for work. The next day nothing happens and I'm late for work (not really )).

If I then take out the battery it works again for one time only.

Tried changing the tone, no different.

No freezing.

No apps have been added - I've just got the out of the box device.

Yes it is the standard alrm  - clock icon, Blackberry button, select set alarm, set the time and either on or weekdays.

What is your Operating System loaded to your device? Look at Options > About, third line down beginning with a "v.6.0.x.xxx", What is yours?

It says (v&.0.0.557, Platform 9.16.0.67)
