App world trouble

Hi I've been trying to access my appworld payment options and it wont open. I'm unable to download any apps that I have to pay for. I tried restarting my device and deleting and re-installing my appworld and nothing has changed . This has been happening  for a month. I tried contacting my service provider as well who said they couldn't help. Please I don't know what else to do.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Does it provide you with an error message? "it won't open" is usually not what happens...most often there is an error message, and the exact and complete content of that would be most helpful in providing you with guidance.

Also, are you attempting this on your BB interface to AW? Or via PC/browser?

I have been having the same problem I have just changed from o2 to vodafone and my app world updated to 4.0.0.65 and now a can't access my payment methods or buy anything of app world I get an error message saying an error occured while setting up billing through your service provider please try again then I get a message after that 1 saying there was a problem connecting to the payment system your transaction has not been processed please try again its really annoying me now could u give me any advice ?.

OK...lacking punctuation, I am not sure that I properly understand your post...it's rather challenging to parse into readable sentences...but, see these references:

  • KB24551 "An error has occurred while setting up billing through your Service Provider. Please try again" appears when wireless service provider billing on a Wi-Fi connection is used to purchase an application through BlackBerry App World
  • KB29539 There was a problem connecting to the payment system. Your transaction has not been processed. Please try again later. (Error Id: 30644) when attempting to purchase an application in app world

Hi I've also been havng the same problem but I don't get any error,the payment options just loads an nothng happens after loading

Even though no error message, please do try the things above...

 

Also, please double check your PayPal account -- log into it from a PC/browser and ensure that the credentials you use there are identical to those you use to log into MyWorld. Also ensure that all credit cards you have attached to PayPal are current and valid...we have learned that if there is any credit card attached to your PayPal account that is invalid for any reason (e.g., expired), it will prevent AppWorld purchases from completing, even if it is not the funding source. Further, there must be at least one (valid) credit card attached to the PayPal account.

We also have heard from some users who report that creating a whole new PayPal account somehow fixes things and allows them to make purchases. I'm not sure why that works, but reports exist that it does.

Also please try a hard reset: With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

In addition, you can try this sequence:

1) Remove AppWorld from your BB

  • KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
  • If it requests that you reboot the BB, do so

2) Do a Batt-Pull reboot (power on, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

3) Install (on your BB) a fresh copy of AppWorld

4) Do another Batt-Pull reboot

5) See if it now works.
