BlackBerry® Curve™

I am currently using a Blackberry Curve 9300 3G running os 6 (6.0.0.448) and whenever I download Appworld, it does not appear on my homescreen. This started back when I upgraded BB Appworld

Please be aware,

1.I have clicked the "Show all" button and it doesn't appear

2. I have checked in all folders.

 3. Multiple reinstalations, but no positive results

 4. Several Device Reboots/Battery pulls/Factory Restarts were attempted, but no positive outcome

 5. When I look under Application Management, Blackberry Appworld (3.1.4.25) IS Installed

It seems that others are having this problem as well, but does anybody know how to fix this!? (It also seems that RIM has no suggestions on their help support page)

Welcome to the Community & Thanks for your Post...!!

As you have already done most of the troubleshhtoing steps. Please try to perform belwo mentioned steps, as you have already done re-installation as well even then..

Go to Application Management > Select BB App World and click on delete > Hard reboot Handheld by battery pull, while devcie is on.

Now Open Browser and open www.blackberry.com/appworld/download

Sad to say, but your idea did not resolve the problem. Currently I am downgrading (os5) and going to upgrade back to OS6. Hopefully the new install of the OS will resolve the problem.

I will get back to you with results 

(Note: using Destop manager for the downgrading and upgrades)

Edit: No it turns out it didn't work, in addition when i upgraded Facebook, that was not showing up on the homescreen either

Sorry to ask such a foolish thing, but have you tried Show all?

Yes I have.
But it appears the I found the way to fix this all by myself. And hopefully it will help others.
1. Downgrade your device
2. Download Blackberry Appworld
3. (Update any apps that were having the same problem)
4. Upgrade your device
5. Your device will now have Appworld and any other apps that had conflicting problems.

It turns out downgrading your device would force you to install a older version of App World (that will work.) After upgrading your device (which will install a fresh new OS) App World will update as well to a state where it will work on the device without any problems. You can now use App World to download any other apps that had the same issues.
Please keep in mind, I used DM to downgrade and upgrade

It turns out I am the first one to resolve this issue, even RIM had no idea (on their BB help section)
If you are having the same issues please feel free to contact me to resolve your problems.

I've had the same problem 2 months back..think it was a virus as i had to flash the phone and reinstall the os...worked perfectly till today i've got the same issue which you have.
