BB 9300 draining memory

[ Edited ]

My bb is gone crazy, i recently reinstall the OS6 software and since then the phone is giving me problem, it keeps draining the memory and i have to restart the device cause in less than a 10 hours the phone memory is 0KB even thought it has 69.9MB free. Does anyone know what the problem is????

I've hed been using the OS6 for moths with more than 10 apps and there was no problem there. Now i have to keep restarting the device cause it drains the memory and the device is veery veery slow.

Can anyone help me??

Hey nkury,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

I will need some information to further investigate:

1. What version of BlackBerry 6 are you using?  Who is your provider as well.

2. What 3rd party applications are currently installed?

App Version:6.0.0.380 (1478)

My applications: BBM, CNN Mobile Web Launcher, Dropbox, Expensify, Facebook, MovieApp, Screen Grabber Free, Windows Live Messenger. Also i had the Bible (from LifeChurch.tv) but had to erase it cause since i made an updated is giving me error after error.

Also all the apps that before ran just fine, they don't anymore :smileysad:. Is there a solution? The Desktop Manager is asking me for a software update, should i do it?

Re: BB 9300 draining memory

Hey nkury,

Thanks for the quick reply.

The memory leak can be caused by a 3rd party application (afraid to say).  Remove all 3rd party applications and install each one and watch the memory.

Also to note some applications will not work properly in BlackBerry 6.  Once you find the application it will stop the memory leak.

Re: BB 9300 draining memory

I had these apps before and some more, like 8 more, and I never had a problem. Its doing it since the reinstallation of the software cause an email update gave me problems.

Re: BB 9300 draining memory

Hi nkury,

This a log event in the event viewer.  That could mean anything and this part of BlackBerry App World.

Also you mentioned there is a software update.  I would suggest doing it.
