BB CURVE 9300 CANT CHANGE SYNC ID.

Hi

i am having trouble with accessing my sync id . it doesnt allow me to change . and the address book belongs to different email id.. want to change that too.  pl help...

You Mean  " BlackBerry ID " ! Why are you unable to access your BlackBerry ID, If you forgot the password you can reset it ,refer to this Knowledge Base :

 

KB26361  : How to change or reset a BlackBerry ID password.

I am not talking about bb I'd...I can't change sync I'd...means when u go to advance setting and then default where u see middle one where your contacts get sync...

I don't get you " sync I'd " . Is that a email address that you are using to sync your contacts.

Ok this phone I got it from my friend..whose name is there as a sync I'd..with the contacts..and in the contact address I'd too..I can't access to change and as well I can't acess my email setting up in the setup screen.

Pardon the intrusion, but this KB may be useful:

  • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after buying a previously owned BlackBerry smartphone

Even if the device is given to another (rather than "sold"), these steps still apply.

                      Thanks for your Clarification ! Please Follow the Knowledge Base Sdgardne suggested , it will allow you to add your Own BlackBerry ID . And FYI that " Sync ID " is the BlackBerry ID that is associated with that device. I hope you have already created your own BlackBerry ID , if not refer to this Knowledge Base :

KB24062  :  How to Create a BlackBerry ID.

 

After following the KB Sdgardne suggested,  it will allow you to add your own BlackBerry ID on that device , and any email account that you need to add. In addition refer this Knowledge Base on how to add a email address with BlackBerry internet services

 

KB02189 : How to associate email address with BlackBerry Internet Service account.

 

I hope it will solve your issue, so please try it and let us know of your progress.

You are most welcome. Please understand that, from what is so far in this thread, I still do not understand exactly what is meant by "sync I'd". However, I am hopeful that the steps necessary for transfer of a device will clear up whatever it is. Otherwise, we would I believe still need the OP to provide further clarification about exactly what that is.
