BB Curve 8300

Two questions...probably simple.

1. Why do I get a blinking RED LED when the phone is OFF?

2. I bought a replacement battery...it's marked 8700 but promoted as being OK for 8300...and when I put it in the phone I get a NO BATTERY (international NO slash) image. I've bought product from this company before, and never had problems. Is this some stupid thing like inkjet cartridges that need to be verified?

Re: BB Curve 8300

For the second issue, the 8700 and 8300 batteries aren't compatible. That is probably why you are getting the NO BATTERY screen. You will need to purchase a battery designed for the 8300. They seemed to have promoted it wrong...
