On your Manage Connections screen, click on the Services Status.
What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?
Do you recall what the JVM error # was?
But now, the device is working ok, except for BBMessenger?

I believe the JVM error was 528....the Blackberry Internet services says "not connected"...I am currently running the device on WI FI only because i dont have a sim card to put in it.....Yes everything else is working but the BBM

Oh ok, no SIM card, no BIS BlackBerry data services, no email and no BBMessenger, etc.
You must have a SIM card inserted with a valid BlackBerry data plan.
