My Device: blackberry 9300 curve
My Carrier: vodafone


My bb8520 is not connecting on blackberry network and do not show BB-icoon!, also no 3G?  I have Dutch provider Tele2 for Blackberry. My provider says trouble with my BB8520 curve. I testted my SIM with other blackberry and than it works!

Please HELP!!

Are your voice services (calls, voice mail, SMS) working fine with Tele2 on this device? If not, then your device may not be unlocked from it's original carrier:

On the other hand, if voice services are fine, then it indeed is a data problem...and here are some reasons for what is happening:

  1. The BB PIN remains registered to some other carrier BIS system...only one carrier can have one BB PIN registered at any one time. The prior carrier must release it from their system before your carrier can assign it a BIS account.
  2. The BB PIN has been reported as lost or stolen, and is blacklisted, and therefore no carrier can create a BIS account for it.
  3. Your carrier has been unable to properly register this BB into their network.
  4. Your account with this carrier is somehow incorrect, preventing proper BB Services to this BB.
  5. Your BB is used, and was once part of BES, and was not properly cleansed of the IT Policy, and that IT Policy contains some restriction preventing BIS functions.

Those are what I can think of...all but item 5 would have to be checked out by your carrier...no one here has any access to any systems to check into those possibilities. For item 5, refer to this:
