Hello I am trying to update my bbm to the new 7.0 version and it wont let me i have the old one the 5.0.2.12

Can anyone tell me how i would get the new update i tried wiping handheld and that dont work.

Everytime i try downloading the 7.0 version is says "would you like to overwrite 5.0.2.12 version with 5.0.2.12 version, so i click yes and then reboot but then nothing changes :/

To update to BBM 7 you must :

Have OS 6 or higher.

Must be in a supported country

The service provider must be supported

how do i check what OS i have? have would i update?

Press menu key on homescreen menu> press > option > Divice > and scroll down to about divice version. You will get all the information about your divice version

BBM 7.0 is not supported for BlackBerry Curve 8520 because it's available for OS6.0 and above device.
