BBM and Internet not working

I've had my blackberry for almost 2 years now and my bbm and internet suddenly started not working 2 nights ago, ive tried resteting my phone and it still doesnt work, when I try to send a message or someone tries to send me one, it just comes up with a cross and I can't connect to the internet. What do I do?!

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums

 

Have you tried to call or conatct Orange  regarding this issue. If you are recieving a  cross after every message it seems that you are not properly connected to BIS through your carrier.

 

What is your Servic Status , Homescreen > manage connection > service status > BlackBerry Internet Service > ?

it just says Wi-Fi, but now it's stopping me from even sending texts!

                      As I asked have you tried to contact your Carrier Orange to confirm that there is no issue on there network ,Or your BIS is properly configured. On service Status what is the status of BlackBerry Internet Services= ?

If it not connected you had to contact Orange.

The status says Wi-Fi, and I have not yet contacted Orange but clearly will have too?

                        Try registering your device to the network to see if any registration message comes to your message box. KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network. If any message  comes let us know.

 

As you are not connected I doubt it will work , I think you should contact Orange to know about the issue as you are unable to access even  internet.

I just followed all of the instructions on that and I got a message back saying 'Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network' but nothing sweems to be working still. I will contact Orange about it later!

If you got the registration message please try these two steps to see if that helps :

 

1- Resend your Service Book

  • KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service

2-  Then perform a battery pull restart like this while the device is powered On remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert it back.

 

Try it and let us know.
