BBM don't work

I'm using blackberry curve 8520 and I activated BIS yesterday but the bbm does not work. What must be the problem, help me please.

If you had Activated BIS on your account are you able to use other applications of BlackBerry like personal emails ,Facebook for BlackBerry ,Twitter etc  ?

On your Manage Connections screen, click on the Services Status.
What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?

Have you tried a battery pull?  If it still doesn't work, can you call the carrier and have them confirm you have the correct blackberry data plan?
