Back up and recovery

I had a bb9300 previously and i was stolen and i have blackberry protecter on it and i had backed up my information

using the blackberry protecter .

I have just recently replaced it with a bb9360 no my problem is recoverying all my data from the 9300 to the 9360.

when i go onto the bb protecter it gives me back-up that i already have on my new fone as it does't give me the

option to shift between accounts in order to run a recovery with the data from my old fone.

Please help

Re: Back up and recovery

When you first got the new device, on Protect, did you use the Add Device or Switch Device function in Protect?

Re: Back up and recovery

I chose the switch option the thing is i used to different user ID on the phones do you think that might have a effect?

Because it didn't allow me to use the same email address as i did on my previous phone when it was asking me

for my personal details so i just used another email address that I use.

Re: Back up and recovery

Yes, you must have used the same BlackBerryID as before, creating a new BlackBerryID creates a new BlackBerry Protect account.
