Re: Backup Problems - Smart Card Options

Try clearing Smart Card Options from your device data database.

1. Go to your Desktop Manager

2. click on Backupa and Restore

3. click on Advanced

4. from Device Database that appears right hand sideselect Smart Card Option

5. click on Clear.

Re: Backup Problems - Smart Card Options

Do you struck on the same position like before?

Are you backing up your media card as well? Try Backup & Restore after removing the media card from your device.

Re: Backup Problems - Smart Card Options

Hey a2zt,

I ran into the same issue.  A google search suggested deleting the cache in the browser application (found under Options | Cache Operations).  I tried it and was able to complete the backup.

Re: Backup Problems - Smart Card Options

I own a Blackberry Storm (9500). I was attempting to backup my device, but I encountered the issue documented in this thread. I used fgruman's approach to resolve the problem, and his approach worked for me. From your Blackberry, open the browser application. Strike the Blackberry button and select the "Option" item in the menu. I cleared all cache's avaliable to me. I then plugged my Blackberry up to my PC, and I backed up it's data.

Re: Backup Problems - Smart Card Options

[ Edited ]

As following tanzim mention above, its the right step to avoid "freezing" smartcard backup via DM.

But, at poin 4, please clear the item "social feed" instead of smart card

Thanks
