Battery discharge within 24 hours

Hi all,

I just bought a BB curve  9920 model. I observed that my battery discharges very soon or rather within a day. I dont have any many apps running in back ground what so over.

Anyone expereienced the same or any advices on what to check to verify that battery is fine.

Can i claim for a battery replacement as i have a bill with warranty?

Pls help

Thanks

Re: Battery discharge within 24 hours

apps running on background will drain battery fast, make sure you exit out of the app which you are not using, say while closing the app press menu key and select exit or close, which will prevent the app from running at the background.

at times i had trouble going on to each and every app (browsing through the phone) and close them manually, you can press the menu key for 2 to 3 seconds will bring the list of apps open and running, you can then go on to each and close them manually or get battery saver pro app which has advanced process monitor feature and helps you charge for a lil longer than usual. (though bb has weakness with their battery)

in the end you can use the battery saving mode on os 7 by far the best feature on os 7, set the settings and use the options to your usage of bb. then yo can always google and would set your bb to settings which consumes less battery like browser britness and many other.

Re: Battery discharge within 24 hours

Hi bhavtoshsharma,

Sorry to hear that you are having problem regarding the battery,to go to "Battery saving mode "

from your Homescreen Go to Options > Device > Battery saving mode > then Mark battery saving mode. and you may also test your device battery  by running battery test for that Go to Options > Device > Advance system setting >

Blackberry Device Analyzer > Battery Test.

Also I would like to look at this Article

How to maximize battery life and free memory on the BlackBerry smartphone

                                                  Maximum Battery Life

I hope it will help you to overcome the battery life.

Good Luck

Prince
