Battery for Curve

Hi there, I bought a new battery for my blackberry curve 8300 because the other one was causing the phone to shut off after a few minutes on a phone call. But now this new one is not recognising the sim card. Very weird and I tried everything, I'm also going back to where I bought the battery from to ask for a replacement. Anyone have any idea what the problerm might be?

Re: Battery for Curve

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Are you using an OEM Rim battery for your Curve?

Different batteries are for different series. Here is a picture of the correct Curve battery,

Thanks,

Re: Battery for Curve

hi there, thank you. Yes I am. That's the one in the picture. Is there something else I should be using?

Re: Battery for Curve

Hi,

That is the correct battery, I would get a full backup, wipe the phone, and return it to the vendor as a workmanship

default. Make sure you receive a new rather that refurbished phone.

Use this procedure to get the phone ready to swap.

Thanks,
