Bing browser short cut was added to home screen. I cannot seem to find a way to delete it. I deleted the App world but the short cut stays. Any way to get rid of it?

Nope, no way around it. Verizon is currently pushing it to many of their devices.
In your browser, you can always set a bookmark to Google, if you want (and even make that your home page).

Thank you for the response!
I see it as a new service book entry. If I delete the service book, it goes way. Of course, it seems to reload the service book entry. Any way to modify the service books permanently?

There's no way to block service books or keep them from coming.
Sorry.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
For your specific question, see this KB. However, the topic and discussion of this thread are concerning the pushed (by the carriers) BING service book...deleting that SB will be useless as the carrier will simply push it out again.
Good luck!
button inside of their post. Further, if you are the original poster (OP) and your issue is solved, please remember to (on the post that is the solution) click the "Accept as Solution" button so that others can more easily find it. Cheers! Oh...and FWIW...I am not a RIM employee...and these forums are user-to-user...not user-to-RIM.
