BlackBerry ID

I recently lost my phone, then found it again and re entered my sim I had got. However when I turn it on it asks me for a BlackBerry ID, I have never been asked for this before so do not know what my password is for it. It automatically had my email address entered as the BlackBerry ID. As I can't get past this stage I am unable to use my phone at all, so would be grateful if you could try to sort this.

Have you setup a BlackBerry ID? If not, create one and then login with it. You can create one at www.bbid.com or at the prompt on the device. The only reason the email is already filled in is that it sees you have that account integrated on your device for receiving email. M

I attempted to create a BlackBerry ID under the same email but it said there was already an account under that email. So then I clicked change password, and successfully did So under the same email. So I can log on online however when I went to log on on my phone it says 'the username and password provided do not correspond to a valid BlackBerry ID'

Make sure you're using the email address for the username and be sure you're typing the password correctly. For numbers you must hold the alt key.

i have done all this, and when i typed in the password i used 'show password' so know it was typed correctly, yet it still doesnt accept it

Do you have a wifi or cellular data connection?

im not sure what cellular data connection is, but i am connected to wifi and have internet as part of my contract so i would think that shouldnt be the issue
