So I have been trying to figure this out on my own but for the life of me cannot. I am able to send and recive my emails but no sound plays for them I have went though all the sound settings and set every thing the same and waiting for my battery to charge to test it see if that fixes it or not. Any one have any ideas. Oh ya my carrier is US CELLULAR

Are you sure you set all the settings for the sound profile you're currently using?
For example, if you edited the sounds for the "Loud" profile but you are currently using the "Normal" profile you wouldn't have noticed any changes.

You may want to try these steps:
1. Select Sounds (Phone Calls only)
2. Select set ring tones / Alerts
3. Select messages
4. Select email

Nice catch that was the one set to silent but still is not ringing. On another note on my old pearl flip when I would read a email it would also delete it on the server so how do I make my curve do that also right now its just keeping them on gmail and really stacks up because I got my phone for my emails now and really don't go to gmail unless I am on the computer.
