Hi and Welcome to the Community!

For BB ID, there is no reason for you to change your actual email system credentials. BB ID simply has assigned to it an email address to be used for certain situations, but the password inside of BB ID is separate from your actual email system credentials. So I'm a little confused by your post as it seems to mix up a few separate and distinct topics. So, I'll stick with just BBID.

You can indeed reset the password on your BBID. To do so, you must have non-BB (e.g., webmail from PC/browser) access to the email account that is already associated to the BBID. Follow then this KB:

  • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password using the password recovery question

If, on the other hand, you do not have non-BB access to the email account already associated with the BB ID, then your challenge is a little greater. If the reason you have no non-BB access is because it's a hosted email account (e.g., @RIM, @BB, @carrier, etc.), then those email accounts are accessible solely from the BB. Fortunately, there is a trick:

  • KB28111 Unable to reset BlackBerry ID password when using a BlackBerry hosted email address

On the third hand (3 hands???), if you simpy have no access to that BB ID registered email account at all, then your challenge is even greater, and you have a choice to make depending on your circumstances:

If you have no AppWorld records that you require to retain (e.g., purchase records for apps), then simply abandon the BB ID and create a new one. To do so, however, does require a device WIPE:

  • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or BlackBerry smartphone

If you do have AppWorld records that you must keep, then you require human intervention. To receive that, you must ring up your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to RIM. Further, you must convince RIM to provide you with a solution -- which likely will either be resetting your current BB ID so that you can again access it or having you create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase records over. Note that I have no idea if they will be willing to do this, but there is no other way that I know of to retain your prior AppWorld purchase records.

Good luck!

Re: Blackberry ID

So, I'm still a little confused about your situation, but I think now you are OK with abandoning your old BB ID, along with all associated AppWorld record. Given that you have no access to any of the accounts or information necessary to recover, that is your only choice after all, short of human intervention (as described above).

So, to change the BB ID associated to your BB, you must WIPE the BB:

  • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or BlackBerry smartphone

Then you will be able to create a brand new BB ID, and associate it to an email account to which you have access.

You may want to first review the Backup process here...for the WIPE will be non-forgiving:

Good luck!
