It is shocking to see that Blackberry India still don’t have the plan to launch Maps in India. I guess it was 2009 when the discussion was triggered till date there is no progress made as blackberry customer base in India grew exponentially. I am sure this is not the way the “action starts”. Hoping to see a better Map solution from RIM.

Dude, I suggest speak with your Indian government regarding the regulations in place which are forbidding this. It's not a RIM problem.

Dear Resident expert, Rather than me reaching out to the govt, I strongly recommend that you see how was followed by Nokia and other android application builders to get the required mapping application clearance.
