The last thing I would've suggested was wiping it and re-activating it. I'm not sure what else to try at this point. Did anyone in your IT department or your carrier look at it yet?

I am a member of the IT Department and no one here knows much about blackberrys except me.. this one has got me stumped.. im going to wipe the handset again using jl_cmder and put os 4.2 on.

Sounds reasonable to me. If that works then you're going to reload OS 4.5 correct? I'd hate to think that 4.5 broke the Messenger. Let us know!

still didnt bloody show up on 4.2 os..

 

it might be an issue with my desktop manager install, going to wipe it again and reinstall from a different workstation.

we dont run IT policies on our BES so everything should be allowed through.. its not even showing up prior to it being activated in BES anyway...

i have another bb curve in front me now and it has bbim, its running exactly the same os 4.2. i just dont understand why it will not show up on my one.. i think im gonna give up :smileysad:

You have done everything except actually rebuild the entire device!
