Although I do have the required data plan.

You may want to check to be 100% certain. Many carriers have multiple tiers of data plans that have different mixes of available services to BB users. It is entirely possible that a carrier has created a data plan that has, for instance, email and Social Networking, but not BB Protect or AppWorld. You likely should talk to your carrier to be 100% certain that you indeed have a data plan from them that enables all of the services you desire.
