Blackberry Protect

I wanted to install blackberry protect on my phone, but I'm unable to because I was using my phone for work and had it connected to the enterprise server.  When I left my job, they deleted my email account and said my phone is fine.  How do i get blackberry protect onto my phone.... Please help!

Re: Blackberry Protect

Can you please elaborate on what exactly happened, and why exactly are you not able to install Blackberry Protect? And do you currently have a BIS subscription? Also, was your work email your Blackberry ID?

Since they only deleted your email, you should be able to install any app on your Blackberry. And Blackberry Protect doesn't really back-up your emails.

Re: Blackberry Protect

I use to have my work emails go directly to my blackberry, so they activated the Enterprise Server.... When I left my job, they disabled it.  So now when i go to install blackberry protect it tells me I can't install it on a phone that has been activated with the enterprise server.

I just want the blackberry protect so incase i lose my phone or what not i can locate it.

Re: Blackberry Protect

Even though you have been removed from the BES server, your phone will still have an IT policy on it which will prevent Blackberry Connect from installing. You need to follow the details here to remove it - KB14202

As I assume you want to keep your personal items on your phone once you follow this procedure, ensure you do a full backup. HOWEVER, once you have wiped the phone only do a SELECTIVE restore of the backup to return the items you really need - doing a full restore will also restore the IT Policy.
