BlackBerry® Curve™

My friend has the Blackberry Curve 8520 it was working fine for her but recently she has been getting a white screen randomly which she then needs to take the battery out and plug it into charge, to get it to work. The first time it did it she thought maybe it ran out of charge but as soon as it was plugged in it said full battery. Is there anything she can do?

Sorry to hear your friend is having issues with her BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 smartphone.

It would be recommended your friend reinstall her device software.

Using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, have her back up her device data and follow the steps in KB11320 "How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows".

Before she restores the backed up data file, have her test the screen to ensure it doesn't go white again.

If she should encounter any further issues, she should contact her mobile network provider point of sale for further investigation.
