Its really starting to annoy me now.

Im on vodafone, i have a data plan but i only use my internet services with wifi.

Im able to go on browser but im not able to use BBM  for example.

It shows edge in small letters and the wifi logo only shows in dark grey and not in white

Help would be greatly appreciated.

I read you have a data plan, but it has to be a blackberry data plan or it won't work.  Can you check with your carrier?

Try a battery pull first though.

Mine is the same I bought it yesterday and phoned Orange and they said I had to pay Blackberry £5 a month so said yes they signed me up but haven't received it yet and I'm starting to panic, Blackberrys are more trouble than they are worth !!!

I'm the same, bought it yesterday and only works on wifi, it says wrong data plan so I phoned Orange and they have signed me up to it for £5 a month and I'm still waiting for it to work, I'm bloody sick.

Call them bas and ask that they resend your service books. I don't have the link handy, but they can do it for you.
