Blackberry curve 9320

Hi, can someone please help me with my daughters phone, the problem is that she took her battery out, to put a new sim card in and replaced the battery and tried to charge the phone and the battery icon symbol came up with a red cross through it, we followed the instructions and have bought new batteries for it and this hasnt cured the problem, the battery with the red cross remains, I have even ordered a new charger for this phone and this doesnt seem to make any difference either.

 

There isnt any support numbers available for me to contact blackberry and the person we bought it off is totally clueless.

This phone is beginning to cost me more than what it's worth but if you have teenagers you will know this is the end of the world if it can't get fixed!!

before your daughter changed the sim card is the device working?
