Help! My blackberry battery completely died last night, so i brought it into work this mornignt o charge at my computer but nothing happens except a solid red light appears when plugged in to charge.
I have tried litterally EVERYTHING, including removing the battery, sim and sd card for long periods of time, with and without the charger inserted, heating the phone and parts seperately on a radiator to maybe 'kick start' battery, and pretty much EVERYTHING else I've read up on on similar forums.
it just simply is not working is there anything i can do to fix it or is it well and truly done for?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Fully draining these batteries is not recommended...it can actually damage them, and render them useless (in the most extreme cases).
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
Good luck and let us know!
