Re: Blackberry keeps locking itself

Locking itself in what way.. requiring the Security Password to unlock?

or only a screen/keyboard lock?

what are you doing to unlock it each time, maybe we can help.

Re: Blackberry keeps locking itself

Did you sent any password for the device? Check Options > Device > Password. Uncheck Enable.

Thanks that is what I was asking. That's just a screen/keyboard lock.

Ok so you can easily unlock with the top edge button.

Have you rebooted?  Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

How are you turning it back on each time?

What is your Operating System loaded to your device? Look at Options > Device > About, third line down beginning with a "v.6.0.x.xxx", What is yours?

Re: Blackberry keeps locking itself

I'm facing the same problem.

While using my phone, the screen locks and when I press a button it shows,"keypad is locked .........".

I tried uncheckong the password option but it still locks the phone..

It disturbs me while using any app.
