Blackberry may have been "hacked" how do I reset?

I was recently out late at night when my 8310 was stolen. I got it back later but now I notice that it is constantly erasing my call logs. How can I completely reset my phone so that if anything is on there it will be erased?

There is a "Wipe Handheld" feature that will wipe all data and reset the BlackBerry to factory setting.

1. Go to Options

2. Select Security Options

3. Select General Settings

4. Press the "Option Key" (left of trackball)

5. Scroll and select "Wipe Handheld"

Hope this helps.

Re: Blackberry may have been "hacked" how do I reset?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

I cannot speak to what a hacker might have done. Besides your call logs are you losing emails and texts quicker than normal? You may have a memory issue. That may have nothing to do with a hacker it's and issue that can be fixed

If it's not a memory issue then I agree wipe the device and restore your latest backup.

You can then set a Password through security to keep it from happening again

Hope this helps
