Bluetooth - assistance

I must be doing something wrong as my 8310 does not automatically connect to my builtin truck bluetooth nor my ear piece.  Would someone give me the steps to assist in the process of getting this phone to connect?

Re: Bluetooth - assistance

Hi! On your BB, make sure, in the BT Device Properties, that your other devices are "Trusted". And, if the other device has a setting, make sure your BB is trusted by it as well. That usually clears it up.

Re: Bluetooth - assistance

My settings say trusted on the BB, the ear piece and the truck have no such place to do that.  I connected the day we set it up at the dealership and it shows General Motors on my phone but it doesn't connect when I turn the engine on nor does it automatically connect when I turn on the ear piece.  These phones are frustrating.

Re: Bluetooth - assistance

Can you pair both the devices? Check whether your Bluetooth in BlackBerry device is set to Discoverable mode or not.

Go to Bluetooth -> Options -> Discoverable: Yes.

Re: Bluetooth - assistance

Thank you for your response.  Yes I can do discoverable, doesn't connect.  It plainly shows General Motors in my list, when I say "connect" it says connection failed.  My husbands ancient V3 connects just fine as soon as you start the engine, not mine.  My BB has only connected twice, once when we set it up and once after going thru everything in my options folder (which I don't even know what it was).

Re: Bluetooth - assistance

I just purchased a new GMC vehicle and am able to pair General Motors with my Blackberry Tour.  Problem is that the bluetooth connection is frequently terminated.   My Blackberry is constantly interacting with Blackberry Enterprise Server.  Could that be what is causing my bluetooth connection to terminate so frequently?
