I know this has been posted many times before but i've tried all solutions I can find, deleting apps, increasing memory, taking the battery out many times. But basically I can't start the camera and when I do it just says 'Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again.' Like I said i've tried a few things but it's getting on my nerves now. Is there any other solutions?

Most of time, two apps use camera @ same time, already installed app syncing wid camera and you also try to open it.

While switching on your handheld in safe mode, stops app to start automatically and @ the time you can try opening your camera.

Also try by pressing Alt key and same time press lglg, while typing lglg yu wouldn't see anything on screen but once you will finish typing lglg during ALt press, you will get event log.

In event logs you may found the exact error, which you may share with us but before attempting this try to open camera first only then logs will create.

I'm having the same problem

My Blackberry Curve 8520 camera won't start - says "could not start the camera. close other applicationsand try opening the camera again"
