Can hear caller, but caller cannot hear me

I have just received a new phone as a replacement due to technical issues with my last phone (which was covered by warranty).

 

I then called someone and the caller could not hear anything I was saying but I could hear them very clearly. I figured out that the only way they could hear me is if they were put on speaker phone, which isn't exactly ideal.

 

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Literally a brand new phone.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Unless "mute" is on, then your replacement may well be defective, and I'd advise you go right back to your warranty service provider for diagnosis and action. While rare, it is statistically possible for this to happen...unlucky for you, but not impossible.
