Hi guys,
First time to forum
hope it'll prove useful.
I was given a Blackberry by a friend (who was already on an Orange Mobile contract) and I swapped my existing Orange SIM into the Blackberry. Note: I did not have any existing email accounts set up on my previous phone.
The phone works fine (calls, WiFi + 3G browsing) but I have been unable to set up my email. When I try to do this using the Setup Wizard (and click on EMAIL SETTINGS), I get the following error message:
- " ? Your device had a problem connecting to the server. RETRY or CANCEL "
...so it's probably a settings issue. However, when I took the phone into the local Orange shop, they were unable to help me.
Any ideas?

gyp, Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Community Support Forums.
Does your SIM card account include THE BlackBerry data plan? You will need that to setup email and many more of the BlackBerry data functions.

...turns out I can't connect to Blackberry App World either...
Checking out the BB Knowledge Base, its seems most likely that the phone already had a BB ID in it, which it now doesn't recognise with a new SIM.
I have registered and created a new BBID but now need to change the existing one for the new ID.
Can this be done without hooking the phone up to a PC?
Cheers.
