Can't restore backup settings

My blackberry desktop software isn't working properly and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. For some reason the software no long recognises my blackberry curve 9320. The phone will charge when plugged into the computer, but it says that its disconnected. I have tried this with different USB ports in my pc, 2 different cords, and also my wife's blackberry curve 9380 to see if its a hardware problem, but its the same result every time. I asked the people at the local Telus store (my cell provider), and they didn't have an answer. Anyone have any ideas what I can do get the software working again?

Ended up uninstalling and re-installing the program and its working now.
