Cannot Get E-mail Set up

The email address that my wife associated with her BB when she recieved it, was hacked and no longer can be accessed.  I was trying to reset ner BB id but was un successful, and had to wipe her handheld.   During setting up again it updated to the 6.0 OS.  Now the email set up will not work.  Can anyone advise of  an alternate way to set up an email address?

First Register your Device with your Carrier Network :

KB00510 : How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network

 

Reboot your device by removing the battery while your device is Powered On , after reboot from your BlackBerry browser browse to www.blackberry.com/integrate and try to add the email account that you want.
