Thanks for the quick reply.  I did install DM 4.5 without media manager per your recommendation.  I had the same result: unable to Sync with MS Outlook 2000.  Will uninstall 4.3 and reinstall 4.5 one more time to see if mayble I didn't do something correct.

OK, back.  Just did the clean uninstall and re-installed 4.5.  As I did the sync configuration, I only had the choice of:

<NONE>

ASCII IMPORTER/EXPORTER

YAHOO

What do you suggest?  Thanks again!!!

Just noticed my Message Subject above is not completely accurate.  DM does not recognize any part of Outlook: contacts or calendar!

Try this.

in the command prompt, type regsvr32 atl.dll

It should give you a Successful or Failed message.

If it registered successfully, then do a restart of your machine

If it didn't register successfully, it's potentially and probably an issue with Outlook

FYI - atl.dll is the file that Outlook uses to communicate with other programs. 

It stands for Active Template Library. If this file is corrupt, unregistered, or missing, Desktop Manager will not function as intended.

IT IS BACK TO WORKING AGAIN AND HAVE UPDATED 4 OR 5 DAYS WORTH OF DATA!
