Cant re-register with Orange UK BBS?

Hi All

My wife has a Curve 8520 on Oraneg PAYG. She pays a £5 a monthh for BB services. This £5 is deducted each month. However this month she didn't have £5 on there for them to deduct so BBS was stopped. No problem she thought and topped the phone up and tried to restrat BBS. She has text START BB to 450. Been on Host Routing Services and re-registered the handset. Contacted Orange about 20 times each time to be told they have resent the request and to allow 24 hours etc but all of this is to no avail. We can not get anone to re-start BBS Just wondering if anyone else has come across this problem and if so how did you get it resolved?

Please use plain text.

Re: Cant re-register with Orange UK BBS?

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

Often, doing so will reconnect the device to the BIS account.

Re: Cant re-register with Orange UK BBS?

ok.

Please try this FIRST, using your BlackBerry browser...

1)
• Go to mobile.blackberry.com OR to www.blackberry.com/integrate
• Scroll down to Communication and then to Email.
• Choose the appropriate email set up options.

If that works and completes your email setup/editing, good.

If not, follow these additional instructions:

2) Register HRT: (OS5) Home Screen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Scroll to any line entry and > press the Menu key > and then click Register Now. If you have an OS 6 or OS 7 device, Look at Options > Device > Advanced > Host Routing Table, etc.

3) Resend Service Books: Article ID: KB02830 How to send the service books for a BlackBerry Internet Service account. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830

4) Then, with the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

5) Now, return to the 1) mobile.blackberry.com email setup as mentioned above and follow that.

Hopefully that will get things going again for you!

Re: Cant re-register with Orange UK BBS?

Think we know what the problem is. Mywife changed her phone and her BB account is linked to her old phone pin. WQe can log into app world after downloading theinstaller abut cant log into her account herehttps://orangeuk.blackberry.com/ and if we request password etc it says its sent but assume it goes to her old phone? In app woprld it says do you want to associate the detasil of teh account with this new pin but always fails giving a server error as the reason?

Re: Cant re-register with Orange UK BBS?

Straneg that its been working for months liek that though? Cant get into email set up or log into BIS? Will try and ring Orange again but we already knwo what they say, we'll restart it and then nothing happens. Cant get a password reminder as thats going to teh old phone I assume? Ridiculous situation and no idea why its liek it. When i chanegd my BB recently i just logged into BIS and it asked if I wanted everything associated with the new pin/device and I said yes and all was well?
