Change Quickly to Vibrate and Vice Versa?

When going into a meeting or some other "quiet" place, is there a quick and easy shortcut way to change from a ringtone to vibrate without going deep into the profile to change the settings?  And vice versa when out of the meeting, quickly changing to the last set ringtone from vibrate?  Sorry for all the questions; I love this community!  Just found it today!!  Thanks!!  PeteRizz

Re: Change Quickly to Vibrate and Vice Versa?

Hi,

I settled for using the convenience key to access profiles, it's a two key process.

Convenience Button calls up profiles, click on vibrate.

Hope this helps!

Straight to vibration mode is not possible. however, if dial forom home screen is diabled then pressing P on standby mode will take you to the profile menu. Now select vibration mode...no other way around!

Thank you for responding so quickly.  I'd like to suggest that RIM comes up with a way to quickly, in one step, make this switch.  Would make it very convenient for anyone.  Thanks again.

another way is to configure your profile to ring when out of holster and to vibrate when in holster.

The mute key will turn off the ring and vibrator?  That's great!  Thanks!!

Re: Change Quickly to Vibrate and Vice Versa?

Thanks. Good suggestion.  My problem is that I don't use the holster that came with the BB.  I use a silicon-like protective cover that's on all the time.  Do you think it's better to use the holster?

Where is the mute key on top of the Verizon 8330 Curve?  I only have a standby key.
