Changing Date Format From US to UK Style.

Hi guys,

So far you're batting 100% for me so congrats!!!

Here's an easy one. How do i change the date format on my Today screen from USA style 2/20 (2nd Feb) to UK style 20/2 (20th Feb) ?

Easy one for you all methinks but still a hard one for a dumbo such as I !!!

Thanks all..

Re: Changing Date Format From US to UK Style.

Having just received my new state of the art Bold 9700, I am totally gob-smacked to find out that there is no option to change the default (& totally illogical American convention of mm/dd/yy) for the date format.

Palm has allowed this for many years.  RIM is a Canadian company.  Surely they understand that most members of the planet understand  that  02/04/2009 is actually 02 April 2009 and not 04 Feb 2009.

Better yet, if we all adopted the yyyy/mm/dd  convention we would all know exactly what date 2009/04/02 is meant to be.

Please RIM.  Consider the thought that your user base needs to be able to program their device to speak their native language English, Chinese, whatever but not necessarily American.  (This is not intended to be an anti-American rant; it's just that the American conventions are peculiar to a minority of the world's population and should not be imposed oin every user wanting oone of these devices.)
