Checking e-mail

Does anyone know a way to make your bb 8330 curve check email more often then it does.  It seems it doesn't check it all the time or even when you turn your phone on in the morning

Thanks

Re: Checking e-mail

BIS polls for email on a 15 min interval, if it finds mail, it will check again on a two minute interval, then revert back to the 15 min interval.

Re: Checking e-mail

Thanks, do you know is there a way to make it check when you want, or is it just set to check every 15 mins?

On Verizon's network as with most, the email is on a push server.  Meaning the email is pushed to the device instead on a pull server. (The device goes to the server to check).  The push server works great.  Do a test message from a pc....check to see if you get it right away.  You should get it in a minute or 2.

Re: Checking e-mail

I did a test message from my computer its been 3 mins and nothing has came thur yet.  I check my email this morning after having my phone on for over 1 hr and there was 3 emails on the computer that never went to my bb.  That's why I was wondering if I could make the phone check by pressing something or setting something different

Re: Checking e-mail

well it took almost 20 mins to get the message that I sent, and then all 4 messages come in I guess there isn't a way to make it check sooner

Thanks

Re: Checking e-mail

Delete the email on the device.  Reboot the device and re-establish the email account.  See if this works.

Re: Checking e-mail

What is your email address?  joesmith@???????.  I just setup one email and it took 7 mins for the email to come through. Sometimes it's on the receiving emails server end.  I know comcast has some problems with BB and email.

Re: Checking e-mail

I really think it my mail server that takes so long.  I did every thing everyone list and I did get my mail.  I was just wondering if there was a way to get mail at any time you what too get it, like a button that would look for mail on the server.

Thanks
