I just performed the initial synchronization of my Blackberry 8530 with my CMS software, Agent Office (AO) (using Outlook for Tasks and Memo). I previously used a Treo 600. The Treo synchronized an AO feature which linked a contact record to the activity/calendar item for that contact. On each calendar item was the relevant contact's name and phone number. Is there a way to do this with Blackberry or is there a 3rd party application I could use to do this?
Thank you.

I know this is not possible from within the native OS.
There could be a third party app which will do it, I am not aware of it.

It is difficult to believe that in 2010 BB can't do what Palm could do in 2004. And BB is now the biggest installed base just like Windows is? The Mac Plus could do in 1986 what Windows finally could do in 1994 or 1995. So much for earliest into the market having the biggest advantage. I only changed to BB because the Palm Treo 600 OS is not compatible with Windows 7 and the new Palm OS is not compatible with my CRM software. But my Treo 600 was operating just fine and I don't text or email from my smart phone anyway so now I am paying extra for service that I don't use.
Dynamic obsolescence picks your pockets and then gives you less than you had previously that you liked. What a downer!

Ughh... didn't I say there could be a third party application which combines what you want?
I actually think there is, I just don't recall the name.
For instance, RexConnect might be one that has that function.

I created a workaround. In the desktop BB application when matching fields in the Calendar tab, there is no "Contact" field on the BB side but there is a "Contact" field on the Agent Office Activities side. Conversely, there is a "Location" field on the BB side but none on the Agent Office side. So I matched the "Location" field to the "Contact" field. In Agent Office I have always input the location of (and sometimes directions to) an appointment in the Activity "Notes" field so I matched the two "Notes" fields so as not to lose the location of a meeting. Or, if the activity is a webinar, I put the URL in the notes field. So no change is required to get the information for those events.
Works like a charm! The "Location/Contact Name" shows on the same level as the description of the calendar event. And I avoided the risk of additional technology hell in trying to get a 3rd party software application to work.
