Competible navigation software for the curve 8900

Hi all,

I have been looking for compatible navigation software for the Curve 8900. I have downloaded Google Maps; which is not really what I am looking for. I want proper spoken navigation software for my car; like Garmin XT (only that is not not working (yet?) on the 8900.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a million! Kees

Hi and welcome to the forums!

You didn't mention your carrier, Verizon has problems with some GPS apps.

I would go ahead and try the free trial from Garmin. With the Storm many

apps that say they aren't rated for the 9530 do in fact work well.

If it doesn't work properly you can always remove it.

Its worth a shot!

Thanks,

Re: Competible navigation software for the curve 8900

I actually bought the Garmin XT software on a mini card; but I could not run it. One of the Garmin resellers suggested that it was competible (obviously not, as per the Garmin site (goes up to 8800 model)).

I am with KPN (in the Netherlands).

I tried downloading the trial software as suggested; however received a message from my carrier stating that the software is not competible with my device.

Hi,

Maybe I didn't understand you, you tried to run the software from a media card?

That wouldn't work on a Blackberry. The apps all have to be run from device memory.

Thanks,

so can I copy the files onto the device memory? Is there enough space to run such an application?
