Contacts list sync issue

I lost all of my contacts during a syncing issue with my email address. Now am building up the address book again but not syncing it with any email id. It is showing under 'default' in the address book but the problem is although i have some 40-50 contacts now, it shows as '0' when i check in the Options under the default address book. None of them are being picked up by whatsapp as well. WHile calling and messaging, I am able to use the contacts but its not reflecting in whatsapp, where it still says you have 0 contacts in your address book

Hello satbaner and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

Sorry to hear you are having an issue with your Contacts.

 

If you were to log into your email account that originally was used to sync your contacts, do you see them listed? 

 

When you go into your Address Book, do you have any contacts displayed? If not, what happens when you go to create a contact - can you save it?

 

Do you have any contacts saved to your SIM card? In Contacts go to Menu>SIM Phone Book to check.
