Content Proctection is enabled

why do some of my contacts in BBM have "Content Proctection is enabled" after thier name? How do you get rid of it?

Thanks

Joe

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Go to options, security, content protection and turn it off.

Content Compression should be on.

Content protection would be used if you had some sensitive corporate information.

or of course if you actually are James Bond! :smileywink:

Having the option on will slow your device.

Do a battery pull, and you should see speedier access to your data

Thanks,

No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON.
Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed.

Re: Content Protection is enabled

I did as you instructed. After the battery pull, I had some cantacts in thier group but others were in "Pending PIN Update Confirmation". After I have a conversation with them they move to thier correct group, but some still have the "Content Protection is enabled" attached to thier name.

Is there something else i have to change?

Thanks for responding.

Select one with the Content Protection enabled, and delete and recreate the contact.

If that works, you know the rest! :smileywink:
