Curve 9300 Won't Turn On

Hi there, wondering if someone can help me.

 

My month-old Blackberry Curve 9300 won't turn on. I plugged it in - to the wall - to charge earlier today and at that point it seemed fine - when I went back to check it, though, the screen was blank with a red light. I've tried turning it on, but the loading screen comes up, loads a tiny part of the way, and then a blank white screen appears, then I get an icon of a battery with a red cross through it. 

 

This is very frustrating as it's relatively new! Any help will be very much appreciated.

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.

Just to verify, have you already tried reinserting the battery?

If reinserting the battery does not resolve the issue, is your BlackBerry® Curve™ 9300 smartphone detected by the BlackBerry® Desktop Software when connected to the computer? If it is detected, try backing up and performing a clean reload of your BlackBerry® Device Software. www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320 How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows.

 

If it is not detected, You may need to start a software reload without the battery inserted then reinsert the battery after the software reload has started. This article will provide further steps. www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader.

This will remove all data from the BlackBerry smartphone so you will need a previously taken backup file to restore your data from.

Hi There,

I am having the same problem as this. I have tried your soloutions but none of them seem to be working for me, when I try to restore my software from a previous backup file it says that the "application loader was unable to connect your device" and when I run the apploader.exe there is no check box for software applications also my device says its connected to the Blackberry Device Manager but says its not connected on the Blackberry Desktop Manager. I really dont know whats up with my device but im really hoping that there is a way for repair & that its not an unusable device

What happends with my Curve is that it does turn on,  just not when it's not connected to a power source.

 

I charged it overnight, and the next morning, it said it had full battery.

THen I left it on my bed for the whole day.

WHen i got back to check on it a few hours later, the battery was dead.

I DID NOT EVEN USE IT FOR THE WHOLE DAY. HWO COULD MY BATTER BE DEAD? :Censored:

Hello my blackberry did this morning, i have read what you have to do but my blackberry wont even turn on. Taken the battery out and the red light is meant to come on but it doesnt. I went into the 3 store today to see if they could anything and they said to do a software update but i cant because of the fact that my phone wont even turn on. I have tried to download the software but it wont work on my phone.
I would like to know what to do as i need it by tomorrow.
