Sadly, unless it is backed up somewhere, yes you will lose your data.. On the bright side you won't have to buy a new phone. If you can, yes, it is probably better to go to a blackberry service station, but if, like me, there is not one near you, then this is probably your best option.

Mine is doing this as well... Mine even relaoded the software via Blackberry. But still my problem consists. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
