Curve 9360, sync information and questions

Hi and thank you for this area.  I just received my new 9360.  It will only allow me to sync to my Outlook.  The Outlook is great but when I read then delete messages on it, the curve, it will not delete them as it does, even today if I read them in Yahoo?

Also, is there a way/method/setting I might avail of to make Outlook do the issue explained above...

Sincerely, Mike

Re: Curve 9360, sync information and questions

Hello,

There is no direct synchronization between your BB and your Outlook PC client. Rather, each synchronizes, for what it is capable of, against your email server.

For your BB, synchronization between it and the server is governed by this:

  • KB05133 Email reconciliation features for the BlackBerry Internet Service

For your Outlook, synchronization is governed by how you have your Outlook integrated with your server. If POP, then deleted item synchronization does not happen when an item is deleted from the server (which is where it will be deleted when you delete from your BB). If IMAP, then it should synchronize items deleted on the server back to your Outlook.

Good luck!
